About Me
In college I took some photography electives and photographed intermittently in the late 1980’s, then retired my camera and darkroom for 17 years.  In 2006 I resumed photography, opting to stay with film cameras and traditional darkroom technique. Mainly I use a wooden field camera and 4x5 inch film, but also a 35mm manual film camera.

Why Analog/Silver?
Obviously digital equipment and software have rendered their analog counterparts virtually obsolete.   The old methods are slow, cumbersome, and often unsuccessful.  However, I admire tradition and embrace the challenge and satisfaction of making prints manually. It’s my hope and belief that the increasingly rare darkroom-made silver gelatin print will stand out as something of special value.  And darkroom work gives me something to do in the dismal upstate New York winter weather.

Prints
If you are interested in a print, either loose, matted, or fully framed, please get in touch.  All prints are hand processed by me using current archival methods so they should last for centuries.
